FAQs
What should I wear?
Welcome Party
Cocktail party meets music festival. Feel free to interpret that as you see fit! We’ll have country and zydeco bands playing outdoors, so we recommend something fun and festive that you can dance in. Bring layers, as Rio Nido Roadhouse is an outdoor venue.
Wedding
Formal or cocktail attire. Please note, our wedding takes place entirely outdoors on mostly grassy terrain. While we’ll have outdoor space heaters, we strongly recommend warm coats for when the sun goes down. Temperatures can range from the high 60’s to low 80’s during the day, and cool down to 50 degrees at night. If wearing heels, we recommend block heels or heel stoppers.
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adult-only celebration except for immediate family and babe-in-arms. If you have an infant or your toddler is too young for supervision, please let us know so that we can make sure Dawn Ranch accommodates your needs.
Should I check-out on Monday?
Yes! We strongly encourage you to check-out from your hotel on Monday 5/18. Booking a 5/17 checkout means you won’t have somewhere to stay on the night of our wedding.
Do you have a discount code for Dawn Ranch?
We have Dawn Ranch glamping tents which are already reserved for our group, and will not be visible on the Dawn Ranch website. There are Queen glamping tents with bathrooms, or King glamping tents with shared luxury bathrooms at a lower cost. View the glamping tents here. To book your tent, reach out to Hadas or John.
If I check-in on Saturday, where can I store my luggage before your welcome party?
If possible, please drop off your luggage at your hotel before attending Saturday’s event. You can also leave your luggage in your car if you have one. If your hotel does not allow luggage checks, please let Hadas or John know so we can plan ahead.
Do you have recommendations for what to do in Guerneville?
Absolutely! We recommend taking a stroll at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, taking a dip in the Russian River at Dawn Ranch or Johnson’s Beach about 5 minutes away by foot, or trying one of downtown Guerneville’s many restaurants and bars, like Trillium Wine Bar & Tap Room, Three Cultures Kitchen, Boon Eat & Drink, and El Barrio.
The Dawn Ranch Lodge also has a wonderful restaurant, and acts as a cafe with coffee and pastries in the mornings. If you feel like venturing further out, you could always go wine tasting in Healdsburg or dig your toes in the sand at Sonoma Coast State Park.
